Fishing Trips in Scotland
Scotland is well known for its Trout and Salmon fishing. We have the native Brown trout which will give you an amazing fight and offers fantastic sport (even the smaller Brownies will give you a thrill). These fish can be found in lochs and rivers and will not disappoint you.
Scotland also has some spectacular Rainbow Trout. (many into double figures) Found mainly in lochs, the Rainbow is a quick growing and hardy fish that will test your patience and skill. Lastly, but by no means least, is the Scottish Wild Salmon. A migratory fish that returns to spawn in the same river where its life began. If you are lucky enough to catch one, it’s a magical moment that will live with you forever.
Some of Scotland’s most famous rivers include the Tay, Tummel, Spey, Dee and Tweed and offer fantastic sport for the avid angler. We also have some incredible natural lochs which are brimming with trout and are surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our lochs are vast and plentiful, they range from large lochs to small peat bottomed mountain lochs that give their Trout a dark and rich colour highlighting there beautiful speckles. These include lochs such as Lomond, Tay, Ness, Rannoch, Leven, Orr and many more.
Let Travelexonline know your itinerary and we will take care of the rest. We will do all that is possible to make your trip a memorable one and although we can’t gurantee you a full bag hopefully our knowledge will help.
